Climicals has developed a platform to convert sugars derived from food industry waste into a range of specialty chemicals. With years of R&D and business planning behind them, and so many potential chemicals to create, Climicals had a key question: what biobased chemical should they start with?

The result was a clear leader: the flavours and fragrance market. With this information, Climicals is setting up a pilot plant and have interest from both potential industry clients and investment partners.
