The Opportunity

Anxiety is steadily increasing, with prescriptions for anxiety-related symptoms rising year over year. But many who experience the stress and overwhelm want to avoid traditional pharmaceuticals and find natural solutions. Enter Ikkuma and their ‘noise canceling’ functional beverage brand, Zero dB comprised of active plant-based compounds. 

The Challenge

Ikkuma had developed a tasty and effective, science-backed formula for two functional beverages: Zero dB Calm to help induce relaxation; and Zero dB Energy to provide clarity and focus. With a national distributor, and substantial online sales, the company was ready to introduce its carbonated beverage to the retail world and scale the business. They needed someone with strong financial focus to help them through this phase profitably. 

NPC’s Solution

NPC provided $125,000 through its Executive Talent Program to hire a COO, who helped the company navigate the manufacturing and distribution partners involved in the rollout to 1000 stores, as well as take over the financial management of the company.
