The Opportunity
We all create a lot of waste. Over 300 million tonnes of industrial organic waste is produced each year in North America. Current disposal methods are expensive, inefficient and becoming more restricted. But whether it’s from ag and food, pulp and paper, or municipal sewage plants, the waste material has untapped potential to become high value products.
The Challenge
NULIFE has designed and patented an innovative solution using Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) technology that transforms high moisture, industrial organic wastes into profitable biofuels and carbon credits while reducing costs and emissions. Their challenge was to test various waste feedstocks from select industries to validate the solution and secure customer interest.

NPC’s Solution
NPC provided $250,000 through its Proof of Concept Program to help NULIFE test waste feedstocks from select industrial partners. With these trial results, NULIFE is securing new customers from major industries eager to improve their sustainability while reducing disposal costs of their waste streams.
